Zazz website wins online shopping site of the year

An Australian website with a difference, zazz.com.au, has won the coveted NetGuide Online Shopping Site of the Year for 2007.

The unique point of difference of Zazz is that it only sells one item a day!

"By only selling one item each day, Zazz is able to offer amazing savings to online shoppers. Of course you never know what is going to be on sale each day until you come to the website, but that’s part of the fun", explained Alain Sarfati, co-founder and director of Zazz.

A new item is available on Zazz at midnight each day, and each item is only available for sale that day until sold out.

The online shopping site winner will be published in the April 2008 issue of NetGuide magazine. The finalists were selected by readers of NetGuide Magazine. The other finalists in the shopping category were dealsdirect.com.au, oo.com.au, shoppingsquare.com.au and ebay.com.au.

"We are amazed to have won in such illustrious company. It’s really quite incredible, especially as we only launched the website 2 years ago!", commented Alfred Milgrom, the other co-founder and director of Zazz.

The items offered on sale on Zazz are usually computer items, electronic items or gadgets. Recent bargains on Zazz include a 16Gb Flash drive for $89.90, a USB TV Tuner for $37.60, a USB Video Grabber for $29.80 and a breathalyzer for $44.80. Of course, none of these items are available now.

The website celebrated its 2nd birthday by offering USB power adaptors for only 2 cents per pack (plus shipping).

"These USB adaptors normally retail for $15 each, so for our birthday we offered a $30 value for only 2 cents plus shipping! It’s our way to say thank you to all the loyal Zazz supporters", explained Alain Sarfati.
